WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – Join the On Sunday Assabet Valley Mastersingers with orchestral accompaniment to celebrate “Music Across the Ages” at St. Mark’s School in Southborough on March 11at 3:30 p.m.
Featured works will be Ludwig van Beethoven’s Mass in C and Mass of the Children, written by John Rutter in 2003. The Assabet Valley Mastersingers will be joined by the voices of Worcester Children’s Chorus. The Mass of the Children combines traditional Latin Mass texts with popular hymns to embrace a complete day from waking to sleeping.
AVM Artistic Director Robert P. Eaton will conduct the full ensemble, including vocal soloists soprano Andrea Matthews, mezzo Krista Rivers, tenor Arthur Rishi and baritone Donald Wilkinson; the Worcester Children’s Chorus directed by Jennifer Kane; Assabet Valley Mastersingers; and orchestra.
Concert tickets may be purchased at Robinson Music Company, Westborough; Shattuck’s Pharmacy, Northborough; Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union, Shrewsbury; English Garden Florist, Southborough; Arts Alliance in Hudson; and both Joy-Den Jewelers and Main Street Café in Marlborough. Tickets are $25 a person and $20 for students and senior citizens. Each price will be discounted by $5 for advance sale.

The auditorium at St. Mark’s School, 25 Marlboro Road in Southborough is handicapped accessible. There will be alternative parking at Woodward School, 28 Cordaville Road with a free shuttle service. Assistive listening systems, courtesy of Crossroads Community Foundation, are available at all concerts for use by hearing impaired audience members. Large print programs will be offered to those desiring enhanced readability.
