WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – What are your plans for the long weekend? If you’re looking for something to do in Westborough, there is plenty going on.
On Friday, Feb. 17 talk to state Rep. Matt Beaton during his office hours at the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rodger Road. His office hours will begin at 11 a.m. Transportation is available for seniors who need it.
On Saturday, Feb. 18 the Siloam Lodge of Masons will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. The breakfast will take place at the Masons’ lodge at 12 Church St. from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The breakfast is free, but donations are accepted. Donations of non-perishable food items for the Westborough Food Pantry will also be collected.
The Westborough High School boy’s hockey team play Ashland on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7:10 p.m. The boy’s hockey team only has a few games left in the regular season and they currently stand at 9-8-1.
Support the Westborough Women’s Club by bringing a GiveBack flyer to Ruby Tuesdays. Present a GiveBack flier on Friday or Saturday at Ruby Tuesdays and 20 percent of your bill, excluding alcohol, will be given to the club for community projects. Copies of the flyer are available at the library.
On Sunday, Feb. 19 the Congregational Church of Westborough offers another all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. The Pancake Luncheon will follow worship in the Vestry on Sunday.
The 10th Annual WHS Girls Basketball Invitational Tournament will take place on Sunday, Feb. 19 in the Westborough High School gym. This year, WHS will continue in their involvement in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Play for Kay Event. The annual event is a way to promote support and awareness for women fighting cancer.
Teams from Holy Name High School, Franklin, Shepherd Hill, Millbury, Quaboag, Algonquin, Doherty Memorial High School and Westborough will compete in the tournament.
The teams will play the first round of the tournament on Sunday, Feb. 16 starting at 12 p.m. Westborough High School will play at 5:15 p.m.
The tournament will continue on Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Friday, Feb. 24.
Tickets are available for $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. A dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Research Fund.
